Modelling and practice

I’m pretty interested in process and idealised form at the moment, and I’m always enchanted with those old plaster models you find of hyperbolic surfaces. I figured out that it would be fairly easy to generate something that would look pretty similar to some of those through a kind of algorithmic carving process – taking a little more each time, at regular intervals along a line, until a form emerges.
