Implicature/Explicature

I found what looks like a handout, which summarises Grice’s ideas quite succinctly. One of his maxims was the thing that gave rise to Relevance Theory, which looks like being rather useful. This summary looks at the maxims of conversation, what happens when they’re flouted, cancelability and detachability of implicatures, and a bunch of examples that might be helpful.

Robyn Carston’s useful too.
